Police in Ballymoney are investigating about the 2 break-ins in a home located in the town, this incident happened just a few days before. Gault Park residents returned home and were shocked when they discovered that their property and other personal belongings were ransacked on Sunday evening.

Whoever was responsible for the act gained entry into the house very easily. The thief entered the house by forcing a kitchen window open. Police have taken a number of items for forensic examination.

Then on Monday morning a lady reported to police that her mother’s house in Eastermeade gardens was ransacked by thieves who entered the house very easily. Currently it is not believed that anything was stolen during the break-in.

According to a police official, they cannot predict whether both the incidents are inter-connected but there is always a possibility.

This incident could have easily been avoided by the home owner if he had installed security locks at their windows. Window glass like any other glass can be smashed easily but breaking glass makes lots of noise and can easily catch the attention of passers by.

Although intruders break windows, they prefer climbing through an open window. Often burglars do not have to open the window by themselves because people leave their home with a window conveniently open.

Window locks are the best way to secure your windows, the keys must always be kept close to hand. Quality window locks are visible from outside. Window locks not only safeguard your house but it also provides a sense of security.

Have you ever paid attention to the increasing number of thefts that are taking place in your vicinity? Overlooking such news is very likely to land you in a regrettable situation. Burglars are able to break into apartments due to negligence on the part of the residents. Using single locks on doors makes it very easy for the thieves to sneak in.

Burglars know that breaking in through single lock doors is very easy. Such doors have a central lock situated at the middle of the door. By applying traditional methods of burglary such doors are easily breakable and hence makes the house extremely unsafe and insecure.

The easiest way to avoid a burglary in your house is to install a multipoint lock. The best part of using a multi point lock is that it protects the door from several points. Since the locking points are at least 3 and can go up to 10 points, it becomes very tough for the thieves to break in.

Installation of multipoint locks thus render the house more secure and unlikely targets for the burglars.

Installation of electronic locks fitted with alarms and cameras is also recommended if you have the budget. Multipoint locks come cheaper and can easily be installed on your existing doors, making your home safer. So stop being careless and install a multipoint lock for increased security and worry free life.
